ENHANCE YOUR HAIR GROWTH WITH A SCALP MASSAGE
A scalp massage is simply fantastic for both you and your hair. A good, deep scalp massage releases the hormone oxytocin, which provides renewed energy and joy.
Extra joy and more energy are not the only benefits you get from a scalp massage. The massage also works as a stress reliever and eases tension – therefore, it can even help with tension headaches.
When you massage the scalp, you stimulate blood circulation, and the increased blood flow to the hair follicles delivers oxygen and nutrients to the follicles, thereby helping to strengthen your hair growth.

MINI GUIDE
A SCALP MASSAGE YOU CAN DO AT HOME
A good scalp massage can be anything from a few minutes before you shower to a longer session in combination with a hair treatment. Every minute you spend is beneficial, so don't stress if it's only a short session. Enjoy every minute you get to massage your scalp.
HOW TO DO IT
This is our mini guide to a scalp massage at home.
- Start by thoroughly brushing your hair to make it as easy as possible for your fingers to glide from your scalp to hair tip. Use a good brush that is gentle on your hair, or a wide-tooth comb.
- Distribute a small amount of ZENZ Organic Oil Treatment in your hands and let your fingers glide through your hair. Start from the forehead and move backwards until your hands meet. Then, move from the sides of the head towards the back of your head, and finally from the neck upwards towards the top of your head. Make sure your fingers touch your scalp gently each time. Be careful not to scratch your scalp with your nails, as they can cause more harm than good. Repeat this movement a few times as a warm-up.
- The next step is the actual massage. There are several different movements you can use, and it’s largely about finding the ones that feel good to you. Here are 2 types of movements that anyone can do.
CIRCULAR MOVEMENTS:
Massage the entire scalp with circular movements by placing all 10 fingers on your head and move your fingers in small circles, and press them on the scalp. Start from the forehead and work your way through the entire head from top to bottom towards the neck.
ZIG-ZAG MOVEMENTS:
- Place your hands on each side of your head. Let them glide up and down so your fingers "weave" into each other when they meet at the top of your head. You can also combine this with circular movements by making rotating motions while zig-zagging through the hair.
Now, tilt your head down and massage from the neck upwards. When your head is tilted down, your massage gets a boost with the help of gravity. - To remove the oil, first distribute shampoo in your hair, then follow by water. Wash your hair twice if needed. Use conditioner as necessary, and finish by rinsing your hair and scalp with cold water. Cold water closes the hair cuticle and gives your hair extra shine.
