TESTPERSON - CURLY EDITION
At ZENZ, we've conducted a trial with testers who have used ZENZ products for a period of 3 months. We included women of various ages, with different hair types, textures, and colors, each with diverse desires for what they hoped to achieve from the trial. In this blog post, you can read about the testers who specifically wanted to enhance their curls. By following ZENZ expert Sidsel Riisberg's advice (Read more about Sidsel here), we tailored the trial to meet the women's needs. They received expert guidance on which products to use and how to make the most out of them.

TESTERS TYPES OF CURLS
We'll begin by defining the testers' curl types. Nadia has afro curls, categorized as type 3B according to the Curly Girl curl type system. Frederikke's curl type is 3A. Line's curl type is 2B/C, while Mathilde's curl type is 2C.
HAIRCARE ROUTINE FOR NORTH AFRICAN CURLS
Nadia joined the ZENZ program with the hope of finding the right products for her curls, as it had been a challenging mission for her in Denmark. She was seeking products that could provide moisture to her curls without weighing down her otherwise very thick and heavy hair.
SEE HOW NADIA REVIVED HER CURLS WITH THE DEEP WOOD SERIES
Nadia was advised by expert Sidsel Riisberg to use ZENZ Deep Wood products, which are especially recommended for curls as they provide immense moisture and care. In addition, Nadia received Treatment Pure no. 03, which is an effective protein hair treatment providing extra care and nourishment. Nadia also got Hair & Scalp Rinse Fresh Herbs no. 87, which removes limescale and product buildup from the scalp and hair, leaving the hair silky soft and light. It's also very gentle on the scalp and helps to preserve hair dye. Nadia also received Oil Treatment Deep Wood no. 99, which she could use both on her ends and as an overnight treatment for her scalp and hair. Nadia was given Hair Styling Mousse Sweet Orange no. 91 to provide extra hold and definition to her curls, while also providing care and nourishment to the hair. Additionally, the mousse also offers heat protection.

HAIRCARE ROUTINE FOR DAMAGED CURLY HAIR
Line entered the trial with an expectation of healthier hair and a desire to enhance her curls. Line has always been used to buying the cheapest shampoo in the supermarket and generally hadn't put much thought into what was right for her hair type. Therefore, Line's hair needed some extra nourishment and care.
NURSE DAMAGED HAIR BACK TO HEALTH
Line was guided by expert Sidsel Riisberg to use the ZENZ Cactus line. Line also received the Ionic Styling Brush Round, which is a gentle hairbrush that distributes the natural oils from the scalp to the rest of the hair. Line additionally got Oil Treatment Deep Wood no. 99, which provides plenty of care and moisture, particularly for curls. For styling, Line received products designed to enhance her natural curls. She was given Styling Gel Sweet Orange no. 12 and Hair Styling Mousse Sweet Orange no. 91, which form the perfect curl duo by providing care, moisture, hold, volume, and definition of curls. Styling Gel Sweet Orange no. 12 is particularly unique as it also functions as a serum, providing moisture, grip and defined curls. Line also got Volume Hair Powder Pure no. 89, which gives plenty of volume that lasts all day. It also has oil absorbing qualities, making it suitable to use in between washes.

HAIR CARE ROUTINE TO ADD A LOT OF MOISTURE
Frederikke entered the trial with an expectation of finding products that could provide enough care and moisture for her curls. Therefore, Frederikke was recommended by our expert, Sidsel Riisberg, to make use of the Curly Girl method.
USE YOUR ZENZ PRODUCTS FOR THE CURLY GIRL-METHOD
Frederikke was given Shampoo Rhassoul no. 16, which is a highly nourishing, moisturizing, and mildly cleansing shampoo, enriched with rhassoul clay from Morocco. Additionally, Frederikke received Hair & Scalp Rinse Fresh Herbs no. 87, which removes Lime scale, dirt, and product buildup. At ZENZ, we refer to it as a 'herbal shot' for your hair. Additionally, the hair rinse is gentle on your scalp. Frederikke got Conditioner Deep Wood no. 08, which is particularly good for curls as it provides plenty of care and moisture. This conditioner can also be diluted with water in a spray bottle and used as a leave-in conditioner. Always remember to use conditioner as it seals/protects the hair cuticles. Frederikke also received ZENZ's ultimate curl styling duo, consisting of Styling Gel Sweet Orange no. 12 and Hair Styling Mousse Sweet Orange no. 91. Additionally, she got Oil Treatment Deep Wood no. 99, which she used both for care and moisture but also as a styling product, as it moistures the curls and makes them shiny.
"Before I started using ZENZ Organic Products, I had to plan when to wash my hair because it used to get very frizzy. It's been nice that Shampoo Rhassoul no. 16 hasn't caused that. It's given my hair so much nourishment and moisture that it's not frizzy anymore; it actually defined my curls much more. Overall, my hair feels much healthier now. HAIRCARE FOR FINE CURLY HAIR
Mathilde entered the trial with an expectation of enhancing her natural curls and adding more volume to her fine Scandinavian hair. Mathilde was therefore guided by our expert, Sidsel Riisberg, to use products that provide plenty of care and nourishment whilst adding volume.
EMPHASISE CURLS AND VOLUME IN FINE HAIR
Mathilde was guided by our expert, Sidsel Riisberg, to use the Sweet Sense line, which provides plenty of care and nourishment while adding volume. Mathilde also used Hair & Scalp Rinse Fresh Herbs no. 87, which removes calcium, dirt, and buildup of product residues, to provide strengthened, glossy, and silky-soft hair. Mathilde also got the ZENZ curl styling duo, consisting of Styling Gel Sweet Orange no. 12 and Hair Styling Mousse Sweet Orange no. 91. Additionally, Mathilde was given the Ionic Styling Brush Round, which is particularly useful between hair washes as it distributes the natural oils from the scalp to the rest of the hair. As the final styling product, Mathilde got Finishing Hair Spray Pure no. 88 to hold the curls in place once styled, as it provides a strong hold and has an anti-frizz effect.
